Komazawa Toshiki

Mr. Komazawa Toshiki (駒沢敏器), 51, an author from Tōkyō, passed away from murder at his home in Shin Ishikawa 4-chōme, Aoba, Yokohama, Kanagawa.

作家の駒沢敏器氏が、殺人のため神奈川県横浜市青葉区内の自宅で死去。東京都出身。享年51。
A graduate of Temple University, he was an editor of monthly magazine Switch. He wrote nonfictions and travelogues such as Nothing Much, But Worth to Tell, Simple Secrets of A Lonely Planet and photography book Hawaii in the Legend.

He was also known as a translator of modern American and British literature, including Ha Jin's A Free Life and Diana Wynne Jones's Hexwood.

At 20:05, 8 March 2012, police found him strangled and dead when they entered his condominium in response to a report called in by his relatives in Niigata who had received a package containing his 81-year-old mother's seal, seal registration certificate, ATM cards and a letter. In the letter, the missing mother confessed the murder of her own son, writing that she had felt sorry for his lameness.
